Foreigner are one of those classic rock bands occupying the “amnesia” suite in the musical skyscraper of most minds. Quick, name their hit! Can you? Okay, okay, I’ll give you one: “Hot blooded! Check it and see! Got a fever of a hundred and three!” Or how about “Cold as ice! You know that you are cold! Cold! As! As! Ice! As cold as ice to me!” Okay, now fast-forward to the power balladry of the’80s: “I wanna know what love iiiiiiiis! I know you can shoooooow me!” Or how about “I been waiiiting . . . for a guuurrrll like you, to come intoooo my liiiife!” See? You basically love Foreigner and you didn’t even know it.
