Sebastopol musician Bill Amatneek has been playing acoustic instruments most of his life, alongside some of the most accomplished folk and bluegrass players and storytellers of the last century. Now, in his book Acoustic Stories, Amatneek gets to tell his own tales. In Stories, the songwriter and wordsmith dishes on jamming and touring with legends like Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Kate Wolf and many others. Blending his written word with his music, Amatneek brings his Acoustic Stories to life with a concert and reading Oct. 24, at the Occidental Center for the Arts, 3850 Doris Murphy Court, Occidental. 8pm. $15. 707.874.9392.
