Dec. 13: Eddie Money at the Mystic Theatre
December 9, 2009 – 2:31 pm
You might want DJ Hero. You might want a flat-screen TV. You might even want, for reasons too vague to understand, an Amazon Kindle. Who wants two tickets to Paradise? Eddie Money, who gets his last name from the very currency that makes December go ’round, that’s who. In a benefit performance for the Marine Corps’ annual Toys for Tots campaign, the 60-year-old rocker and ex-cop drops in for a run-through of all his hits, including “Baby Hold On” and the 1986 smash “Take Me Home Tonight.” Too old to rock? Don’t worry, grandma—it’s an all-acoustic set. Bringing a new, unwrapped toy to the show gets you in a half-hour early for a meet-and-greet with Money himself, where you can congratulate him for completing, earlier this year, his most recent rehab stint. Be his little baby on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Mystic Theatre. 23 Petaluma Blvd. N., Petaluma. 8pm. $30. 707.765.2121.
