Possible fiction? The opening line is taken damned nearly verbatim form Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. ("We were just past Barstow when the drugs began to take hold.")
Don't neglect the colonial interior. My new book is not specifically about the gay lifestyle in Mexico, but in my travels talking to expats in out of the way places, I discovered a remarkable number of gays living satisfying lives in tolerant, but not well-known, communities. The book is called, Into the Heart of Mexico: Expatriates Find Themselves Off the Beaten Path. A sample is available on my website.
Look outside your narrow minds. All of California has been suffering drought conditions since the winter of 1964-1965. Look at the water the stables at the beginning of mark west springs road pumps out of the creek. All of you that live within a few hundred feet are pulling water directly from the creek. Bigots

This was a great read,a potentially horrible situation that had a happy ending. It's nice to know every thing went great for you and that you gave the student who dosed you a second chance.Funny that he will be dosing people legally for a living now,but with drugs far more dangerous than LSD

This was so awesome I nearly had an anxiety attack as I was reading it. I haven't done acid since age 14, but I never forgot a single moment of it. I made gnarly pot brownies once though, and ended up comatose and similarly one-syllabled for about 5 hours sitting on the porch of my co-op in Berkeley, CA. Great read, and I'm glad you and Max worked it out!

Cornell will stop at nothing, and no one, to get what he wants. He and his wife, who is 25 years his junior, endeavour to own everything they can get their hands on. The couple finds ways to jump legal hurdles because of their wealth. They have one simple, unsophisticated motivation: greed. The environment be damned. Having a vineyard with your name on it is just another jewel in the tarnished crown.
