This show was a blast - thanks to everyone involved. The photo shown above was taken at a party where Tower of Swine (TOS) played far too many years ago. This year's Nostalgia Festival was the first time TOS played together in more than 30 years. Here is a link to a video of that performance.

Yay!!♡ Franti is great
I need to get my hands on a Desciples of Ed tape. Any suggestions?
It's not that the fans don't want new recordings, it's the radio DJ's that haven't given them much play with new discs. We fans would love a new recording once a month I'm sure!! However, as you said, Gillian, Justin and John, I believe, will continue to give us something new as time and effort permit. They are so busy touring right now and then Justin will be doing a solo tour across the Northeast that it's hard to find time to record. However, Justin has said he believes he has at least one more CD to publish that will give him a chance to express his own personal feelings - something he can't do under The Moody Blues name. And John has said that he is planning something really special for the 50th anniversary of DOFP in 2017! Plus next year will be the official 50th anniversary of this incarnation of The Moody Blues. So who knows what's ahead? I would just start saving my money for something spectacular from this legendary band with fans all over the world! SIWL, Arline
It is a shame that they feel that new works by themselves is not what fans want but I suppose as long as Justin and John can release new material to know that there is still something new to give and express even after all these years. Maybe to celebrate 50 years in 2017 they could come up with something extra special that would be fantastic! PLEASE!! love Gillian
Years ago, when the girls were little, we acquired a box of children's records, and this record was in it. We sang it over and over, amazed that it even existed. I've hunted for it again, but it has disappeared in the turnover of the years. I'm so glad to find it again! Thank you!
I'm glad that the Bopeemian did a story on Matt. He was a really influential person. He definitely touched me.
I'm still going to say Bopeemian though, since that's my jam.
Matt, you are missed. Facebook went nuts for you.
Let's try to go nuts for each other with better timing in the future. Ok?
Thanks ladykiller Charlie! <3
We saw these delightful guys at SHED when they performed during a West Coast Live show. They are really really good...give them a look see and find out for yourselves.
Along with even more artists and more bands!! Don't miss out!

Oh my gosh. This is amazing. Thank you guys so much.
Second Line is a New Orleans Funk Band based in Sonoma County and we will be playing 3 Mardi Gras performances this weekend. We kickoff the weekend off on Saturday 14 February with a Voodoo Valentine Mardi Gras Ball at 8:00 pm at the Redwood Cafe. On Sunday February 15 Second Line is co-billing with the Dixie Giants at 755 After Dark (Aubergine) for a Saints and Sinners Mardi Gras Ball. On FAT TUESDAY 17 February Second Line is at The Parish Cafe in Downtown Healdsburg from 5 pm to 8 pm.. The Parish is a New Orleans restaurant and they will be serving the most authentic Mardi Gras cuisine west of the Mississippi.
Second Line is a collaboration of professional musicians that formed a project for the love of New Orleans music and culture. Their sound is defined by a combination of tight melodic grooves and highly syncopated New Orleans "second-line" rhythms under highly charged guitar and keyboard riffing. New Orleans funk is filled with raw, infectious, and downright dirty grooves. Smelly, greasy, fat (phat), and lowdown swamp funk thick as gumbo and nourishing as a barbecue shrimp po-boy.
The band features legendary musicians Val Fuentes (It's a Beautiful Day, New Riders of the Purple Sage, The Zins) and Roy Schmall (Big Brother and the Holding Company, Snooky Flowers, Bill Cutler, Smoke Inc, Stephanie Teel Band). The band is fronted by lead vocalist Andre Kelly (Rosetown Revue and Mojo Filter), Jim Stice on Guitar and Vocals (Phenix, and the Zins), and Matt Petruska on Bass (Travelin' Soul).
Thank you Charlie for that wonderful article, where should I bring your plate? :)
Please call 707-874-1124 or go to www.redwoodarts.org. The phone number listed in the article is incorrect.
Shouldn't that be Roy Blumenfeld on drums?
