I cannot believe the Bohemian assigned Richard Busack to review this movie. He's got it all bass-ackwards and was apparently so busy being a macho skeptic and resisting Emma Stones' charm that he neglects to mention that the film's plot has a millennial poignancy that updates it and makes it a satisfying tale. Ryan Gosling nails it, too, even for an old baby-boomer like me.
Thank you Tom Gogola for your US Blues article and this one that starts with Jimi. Yes, Black Lives Matter to Art and Music in America! Thank God!
Thank you for writing this. You have expressed what I have been thinking, but sometimes it just needs to be said.
