Re: “SBA loans for California crabbers as feds declare Dungeness season a disaster

Loans won't help those that are already having trouble paying their bills it will only add more debt to the list. A disaster declaration is the only thing that would help at this point.

Re: “Old-Fashioned Love

Oh..I wistfully hope that after losing my mate to cancer almost 5 years ago and being suddenly ready to move forward, that I should someday find someone like the happy couple, who found each other, in the beginning of this lovely article. xoxo

Re: “So Far, So Near

There are a number of State Parks locally (Sugarloaf Ridge, Armstrong Redwoods) which sit mostly empty most weekdays, but do fill up somewhat on weekends. In any event, you can call Sugarloaf and ask about availability if you don't want to go through the Reserve America, admittedly clunky, and State Parks usually have a set number of first come, first served spots. They are both spectacular natural areas and, while maybe not hip like a winery, truly provide a close-up look at nature, for real. I know, because I was the campground host last summer at Sugarloaf! Awesome job.

Re: “Not Ready

President Obama is as much white as he is black. He handles the issues in his own ways based on advisors and staff inputs. He will go into history as a great President. Not perfect but truly a President looking out for his people both black and white.

Re: “We Are Family?

Really enjoy the samples and the folks serving, thanks COSTCO. These are jobs for Senior Citizens and college kids and such. Family providers need full time work (40 hrs/wk). The program itself is a winner and leaves shoppers with a pleasant exprience.COSTCO does many things right.

Re: “Not Ready

How could Trump represent "a silent majority of decent men and women"? He's crass, boastful, and demonstrates he doesn't like millions of Americans. He demonstrates that he represents hateful, ignorant people.

Re: “Homewrecker

Few know my story about my long connection to Feinstein, her husband, his investment groups and the capital markets.

This person is highly deceptive with my story. The hard part - they murdered my relatives a family of five, they also killed my roommate, my gal friend and her daughter in 2005, and the list is over 50 deaths.

There is big little secret around the country - a mad dash to take over Military Bases known as Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) that leads to my posting here

Accenture, Blum, DoD, Rumsfeld and Cheney were in SF just after the San Bruno Explosion - when you visit my blogs you find why I know how they blew up Line 132, killed 8, killed 5 in Walnut Creek and how it links to the Nurse and School Bus accidents.

Everything is staged and likely by the unions

Re: “Photos from San Quentin's Death Row

Violating parole with a D.U.I. by many S.F. construction workers took them off their union job sites and returned to San Quentin..

Re: “Debriefer: December 23, 2015

The majority of people who went to the January 9th meeting, over 200 residents and the majority of residents that filled out the online survey, around 400, made it clear that we demand our heritage trees to stay in the square! But the City Coucil seems to think that putting in more parking is more important than trees or taxpayer opinions. Not only will this kill carbon sequestration but also cause traffic chaos in downtown. Residents NEED to come to the January 26 meeting and let their voices heard. Even if you could care less about the Reunification of Old Courthouse Square you should know that if you drive in Santa Rosa you will be effected by the decisions made. Please come and insist on the City Council to make positive decisions for Santa Rosa's future and not more money exchanges within the "boys club".

Re: “Sonoma County Settles Esa Wroth Lawsuit for $1.25 Million

LE brutality in Sonoma County is alive thanks to the DA, Sheriff and BOS for not doing their job by holding LE individuals accountable for their misdeeds. Sonoma County has not fired anyone responsible for these misdeeds or even ask department heads to resign. BOS cuts the checks to sidestep the accountability issue of LE misdeeds. The use of liability insurance by Sonoma County Risk Management to cover up Sonoma County mistakes is excessive. A public records request PRA was utilized to retrieve litigation and settlement costs from Sonoma County. These costs averaged $1million per year from year 2000 to 2013. We the taxpayers are responsible for any amount of combined settlement and litigation costs if below $1mil. If the costs are above $1mil, the liability insurance kicks in. This case is just one that has been settled. There are other cases of LE brutality waiting for the BOS to write the checks. The accountablity and transparency of this process by the BOS needs to be highlighted. There was no mention of the litigation costs incurred by Sonoma County to defend this case.

These people aren't normal. Look up each one of their verdicts and let me know where you would put them. I did. They're fine where they are.

Re: “Patience!

Memorial will send their uninsured, and homeless to Sonoma West Hospital. They will not be abe to survive with the government paying 35 cents on the dollar of a hospital bill. I hear taps playing in the distance. RIP

Re: “Not Ready

In 2008 we surely needed the HOPE that Obama offered. We needed a new model of who a President could be. What we got was a clear demonstration that the Civil War is not over, by far; that minorities have not won the battles for Civil Rights, and that we have much more work to be done in all areas before real Freedom (not just the freedom to own guns and drive trucks anywhere you want) can Ring in the US of A.

From the beginning the "I hate Obama" faction had one problem. There was a black man in the White House.

Re: “Not Ready

Louis, you have overlooked Bernie Sanders -- he is not owned by special interests but, unlike Donald Trump, is not using duplicitous and manipulative "art of the deal" techniques on the American people every time he speaks. Bernie is what you say you want and he has 30 years of being a public servant who works tirelessly for all Americans -- those on both the Right and Left. Bernie is also unique in being a true gentleman, never stooping to power broking, dividing racial groups from each other or running a negative campaign that insults other candidates.
