Re: “Golden State Wolf

CORRECTION: The stand-in wolf NIWA is NOT from "Wolf Haven International" in Washington as quoted in this article, but from "Wolf People of Cocolalla" in Idaho.

Re: “His Last Case

I love the character of Holmes too much to see this movie, good as it might be. Sometimes it's best to let our idols be frozen at their peak.

Re: “Intimate Art

Great story, and much appreciated. However, the admission information is incorrect. Individual admission is $5 Thursday through Sunday, with family admission at $8. Wednesdays are free. The prices quoted above are for an upcoming event, The Diebenkorn Pages, on August 1.

Re: “Fat Tire Temple

I've never defended horseback riding, as you claimed. I don't support it. All I said is that mountain biking harms hikers and equestrians, which is FACT. Of course, it also harms mountain bikers! I'm for protecting mountain bikers, too, but you and mountain bikers never say anything about that.

Re: “Fat Tire Temple

Your original post stated this: "The common thread among those who want more recreation in our parks is total ignorance about and disinterest in the wildlife whose homes these parks are. Yes, if humans are the only beings that matter, it is simply a conflict among humans (but even then, allowing bikes on trails harms the MAJORITY of park users -- hikers and EQUESTRIANS -- who can no longer safely and peacefully enjoy their parks)."
Who's the liar, Mike?

BTW, I am not a mountain biker and I agree that they should not be allowed on hiking trails. Feel free to hate me regardless.
Your total lunacy is duly noted.

Re: “Fat Tire Temple

I've said NOTHING about equestrians, LIAR. All I said is that horses have the right to go wherever they want to, just like any wildlife. BIKES, of course, have NO rights, and don't belong off of pavement. Why can't mountain bikers EVER tell the truth???

Re: “Fat Tire Temple

Mike Vandeman, Disparaging bike riders and at the same time, defending equestrians.
Now THAT takes willful ignorance.
Neither should be allowed in my opinion.

Re: “Fat Tire Temple

Watched the video and only saw great recreation in a beautiful natural setting. Missed the all the destruction and raping of resources by the MTB'rs. If riding your bike down a mountain constitutes the "rough treatment of nature" then I guess I'm guilty of manhandling mother nature.
