Good reviews. Thank you. One correction. Tickets to left Edge theatre are $25-$40. Also available online at www.leftedgetgeatre.com
It would really help if you posted your show dates with times so we can plan our evening and purchase tiks
Thank you to Alexa, Barry, David, Harry, and anyone else for the fun evening of awards for Sonoma County Theater. It was a blast seeing people honored for their work, meeting new people and visiting with those whom I have not seen for ages. Thank you for the nomination and thank you for honoring the Marquee theater in your name. It has inspired me to make a Marquee Theater Group on FB to gather company alumni and memories. -Jacinta Gorringe
False advertising is used to pass assisted suicide laws. If they are really supporting individual choices and rights they would provide an ordinary witness to the self administration of the lethal dose. Without a witness they are promoting forced euthanasia.
I learned after caring for my wife during her last 18 months of declining autonomy. I was surprised that you can work on 4 hours sleep. I focus on how these bills are written, their omissions and how they could be administered to my wife.
Note much abuse has been documented in the Oregon assisted suicide system.
See the federal case of Thomas Middleton who was killed with the Oregon law for his assets. Note that the Oregon system did not detect this abuse due to a lack of transparency. Even organ traffickers can thrive under cover of this covert system.

The promoters have done the public a disservice. They are guilty of false advertising. Their ordinary bait and switch campaign is demonstrated by their chanting "must self-administer" then they do not provide in their legislation for an ordinary witness of the "self-administration". The difference is that a witness would honor individual rights, without a witness it allows euthanasia. If the individual changed their mind no one would ever know. And we know that 30% do change their mind according to Oregon's records. This omission eviscerates the flaunted safeguards putting the entire population at risk of exploitation by the medical industrial complex, organ traffickers and predatory heirs. Does that sound like a dangerous public policy to you?
Taylor diffenderfer is absolutely stunning, been a fan of hers for awhile. Everyone's good, great play
Hard to call it a "solitary boo" when a comment gets 7 likes.
To Serena Goldsmith's quibble over the "blatantly edited" use of a critical review. Agreed that the review is carefully worded, but the producers leave out the critic's issues with Coward's play which are notoriously difficult for modern audiences. Your consternation reminds me of a review of the original 1941 production: "London received Mr. Noel Coward's ghoulish farce with loud, though not quite unanimous acclaim. There was a solitary boo – from an annoyed spiritualist, presumably."
The performance at 6th Street that I saw was polished, well-paced, uniformly well-performed with a very hard veneer that Coward is known for.
This review of Blithe Spirit is diplomatically written but translates as overall negative to any intelligent reader.
So it's disturbing (and more than a little offensive) that 6th Street Playhouse manages to twist it into a positive review by taking some of the more diplomatic words out of context. Hours after the Bohemian hit stands, the theater sent a promotional email to its distribution list that included this blatantly edited version of the review:
".....the Rocky Horror of drawing-room comedies......delightfully engaging performances by David Yen as optimistic author Charles, Gina Alvarado as the ghostly femme fatale Elvira and Lennie Dean as the well-meaning medium Madam Arcati..... visually magical."---David Templeton, The Bohemian
This is a mockery of the original. As a former theater critic, I cry foul.

Sheldon whats up man been long time i was wondering if you ever hear from robert chavez I've been looking for him for years I found his brother but he won't give me any info
That's more of a summary than a review.
One man, two GUVNORS...
It's always struck me as odd that ppl in Santa Rosa won't drive from Montgomery Village to Railroad Square to see a show, because "It's too far". But plenty will travel to SF and points beyond.
Saw all four shows two weekends ago and they are as stated...terrific! Pericles and Much Ado were our favorites as much for the stellar acting as for the magnificent stages/sets and lighting. Don't miss these shows!!
Love your description of Pericles! Best I've read... And you make me want to see this production of it...
I watched Bonnie and Clyde last Friday and loved it! Great cast and the music is awesome and gets in your head in a good way. Congrats to 6th Street Playhouse!
Carousel....where the moral of the story is that you can hit your wife, attempt to rob and murder someone, then commit suicide and when you get to "heaven's back gate" they'll let you go back down to earth to beat your daughter too. Just be sure to say you love them and then step right up to heaven. Yep well done Speckles on your musical promotion of domestic violence! It was awful.
BIG things are happening with Lucky Penny. Barry and Taylor have put their all into creating a permanent home for theatre in Napa and the North Bay. Support it in whatever way you can.
