Re: “Uncle Sam’s River Dance

As Guerneville residents we try to support our community. We set up our packed in chairs and bought 2 chicken sandwiches for $28.00. Then spent $14.00 for a beer and a very tiny glass of wine served from a box. As a dj boomed his music from one side of tbe street the amps on the laser stage competed with music of their own. We waited for something spectacular or even just patriotic to happen. We reluctantly picked up our chairs and joined the multitudes of families fleeing what whas evolving into a block party rave. There was absolutely nothing "4th of July" about the whole thing. Very Disappointed.

Re: “Howard Wales with Terry Haggerty and Kevin Hayes

Just added: Ian McKenzie: Acoustic slide guitar and vocals.
Ian is the guitarist for the Pulsators and is branching out on a solo project. He'll be playing blues and folk: Jimmy Reed, John Prine, Elmore James and some originals. Should be a fun night!

This Marin dance company headed by Doree Clark has been putting on amazingly awesome & entertaining shows for over two decades. I have laughed, I have cried, and I have been lifted out of my seat. Would not miss it!

Re: “A Cajun Midsummer Night's Dream

Saw it opening night. It was brilliant! My favorite part was the 4 lovers. Their timing and delivery was fantastic. It's a great show to bring a date too. Lots of laughs and smiles.

Re: “33rd Annual Festival of Art, Wine & Music

I have been to this event for the past 10 years! The music never disappoints. TWO stages bursting with talent on top of the dozens of beer varieties. Last year they even had amazing margaritas. This is a great community event, i brought my little ones and they had fun at the petting zoo, rock wall and so much more!

Re: “Mahalia Jackson: Just As I Am

We were fortunate to see Mahalia Jackson: Just As I Am last weekend. It was an astonishing performance by Sharon E. Scott portraying Mahalia. The energy and emotion she committed to her portrayal made you feel the life and experiences of Mahalia. Sharon E. Scott's story of writing the play is also inspiring and adds to the magic and intensity of the play. Her voice is wonderful and her spirit channels Mahalia. A must see, even if you don't remember Mahalia Jackson.
