Re: “Shige Sushi

Okay but just average. Pricey without excellent service. Taste just not there.

Re: “Jeff Speakman's Kenpo / Wu Academy Sebastopol

Probably the highest quality martial arts training facility in all of northern California. You would never think it was so huge from the outside windows, but I was blown away when I say the second classroom and full gym. Also the instructors from each program are really nice, inviting, and flexible.

Re: “Tradewinds

The best bar in Cotati! Between the run-down or overhyped bars lies this gem. It's got class and always has good bands playing (usually free). The crowd is always postive and the bartenders respond to newbies just as fast as regulars. That last statement alone, is probably worth going. It's not the biggest bar by any means but that's part of its charm. Definitely a diamond in the very rough! Check it out for yourselves. You shouldn't be dissapointed

Re: “Green Music Center

The Emperor has no clothes.

I attended the Karina Gauvin concert tonight. My first time in the concert hall. I find it bland, clinical, and far from cozy. The seats leave a lot to be desired for a long concert, and the acoustics, that everyone is wetting themselves over, were mediocre at best. I sat in the middle, the back and the front sections. They each had their merits but nowhere was the sound great. Now Karina speaks pretty quietly I'll admit, but niether my wife or I could understand a word from the 14th row and had to move to the 7th row to hear her speak. You sit in a spiritually cold room, looking out into the lobby in seats that start to wear after a while. It may be great when it's finished, but I wont rush back. For $145M this place should be more comfortable than any decent concert hall. It's possibly the most un-user-friendly concert hall in the world.

Re: “Institute of Noetic Sciences

EarthRise Retreat Center @ The Institute of Noetic Sciences IS glorious Sonoma County. Rolling hills, ponds, wildlife, oaks, trails, a labyrinth, renovated rooms, and beautiful gourmet organic meals to sustain...
Enjoy!

I loved this place, but it's closed. Eiko, the owner, has opened "Eiko's" in the Napa Town Center.

Re: “Bodyworks Yoga Studio

If you want to be more comfortable in your body, try out this Feldenkrais workshop. I attended Margot's Head to Toes Feldenkrais Workshop Series at Bodyworks, and I have been more flexible and relaxed ever since, and I don't have constant back pain anymore.

Re: “First Edition

First Edition is not the same place it was a year ago. New owners making positive changes. Sat. - Live Bands (no cover), Sun. - Open Mic, Wed., Sonoma County Blues Jam, Thurs. - Karaoke, Fri. - DJ.

You can also shoot pool, play darts or give your luck a try at trivia, card or sports games on Buzztime. And then again...you can just sit back and relax!!!

Oh...almost forgot to mention they have Wii bowling, just ask anyone to bowl with you!!!
