Jennifer Nettles, lead vocalist for international super duo Sugarland, has become one of the most popular singer-songwriters in music today. Since Sugarland exploded onto the music scene in ’04 they have worldwide sales of over 22 million (albums and singles) to date, have achieved eight No. 1 singles and have won numerous awards including trophies from the Grammys, AMAs, ACM Awards, CMT Music Awards and CMA Awards. Nettles has won five ASCAP awards for her songwriting abilities, and in 2008 individually received a Grammy Award, ACM Award and CMA Award for penning the emotionally charged, platinum-selling No. 1 hit “Stay.” At the 2009 ACM Awards, Nettles was honored with the “Crystal Milestone Award” for being the first woman to be the solo songwriter on an ACM “Song of the Year” winner since 1972. Nettles has been seen all over the media spectrum, with performances ranging from President Barack Obama’s inauguration celebration to "Oprah," "Good Morning America," "Ellen," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "CNN Heroes," among others. Her fans have grown to expect Nettles to deliver memorable, heartfelt performances both individually and with surprise duet partners: At the 2007 AMAs, Beyonce joined Sugarland on stage for a countrified version of her hit single “Irreplaceable.” Two years later, at The Kennedy Center Honors, Nettles paid tribute to icon Bruce Springsteen, covering “Glory Days” and “I’m On Fire” with Ben Harper. In 2010, Nettles, Katy Perry and Keri Hilson opened VH1 Divas: Salute The Troops with a playful and sexy reprise of the WWII-era hit “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” and most recently Nettles treated fans to a show-stopping performance of “You and I” with Lady Gaga at the 2011 ‘Grammy Nominations Live’ concert. Nettles and her Sugarland partner Kristian Bush have performed in numerous European countries and have headlined multiple U.S. tours that continue to sell out venues across the country.

For more than four decades, Steve Winwood has remained a primary figure in rock ‘n’ roll, a respected innovator who has helped to create some of the genre’s most celebrated achievements.
Winwood burst into prominence in 1963 with the Spencer Davis Group and since that time his celebrated skills as a composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist have developed an impressive catalog of popular music.
That extraordinary portfolio of music began at the age of fifteen as the driving force of the Spencer Davis Group. The group enjoyed a string of chart success by way of such enduring classics as “Keep On Running” “Gimme Some Lovin’” and “I’m A Man”.
In 1967, Winwood left the Spencer Davis Group and co-founded Traffic. Beloved for their eclectic style and superbly crafted songs, Traffic routinely defied convention to celebrate a host of perse sounds and influences. Landmark albums such as Mr. Fantasy and John Barleycorn Must Die confirmed their position as one of the most important British groups of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
1977’s solo debut Steve Winwood signaled a bold new artistic direction. Such a shift should hardly come as a surprise for those who have followed Winwood’s distinguished career. Beginning with Traffic and extending through such landmark solo albums as the Grammy Award winning Back In The High Life and Roll With It, Winwood has nurtured a restless creative spirit, mining rich musical traditions such as Delta blues, English Folk, R&B, and West African calypso and merging these perse influences within his own unmistakable sound.
Today, Steve Winwood forges ahead undaunted, continuing to create and perform new and exciting material. He remains one of the most important and influential artists in all of popular music.

Talk: Greywater 101 - What is it and is it for me?
Drought is on and the City of Healdsburg has adopted Stage 2 Mandatory Water Conservation Measures for all water customers with the goal of reducing water consumption by 20 percent from 2013 use. Join us to learn how installing a greywater system can give you double-duty out of the water you've already paid for and help reach these reduction goals.
We'll explore the different legal sources of greywater in your home, as well as simple, low-tech systems to reuse greywater for landscape irrigation. We’ll discuss code compliance, city incentives, system design and plant selection, with an emphasis on the easy to install Laundry-to-Landscape system. A Laundry-to-Landscape system does not require a plumbing permit and offers the average family of four the opportunity to reuse 7,000 - 15,000 gallons of water per year. You'll leave this presentation empowered with the knowledge to assess whether a greywater system is a fit for your home!
The presentation is an introduction to our hands-on Greywater Installation Workshop (held on June 28, 2014) and is highly recommended for anyone considering do-it-yourself installation of a Laundry-to-Landscape system.

The District Attorney plays a very important role in the county in determining how medical cannabis patients, caregivers, and collectives interact with the legal system. The DA holds the power to decide which cases go to court and which are dismissed. With so many cases currently pending, voters want to know where the candidates stand on these issues. The forum presents an opportunity to hear both candidates’ positions on a number of relevant, local, medical cannabis issues. Moderating the debate will be Ernie Carpenter, former Sonoma County Supervisor. A question and answer period will follow the candidates’ statements.
The candidates have received a questionnaire and their answers will be available to the public on April 23. They will also receive another set of questions that we plan to ask that night.
Since 2002 long time patient advocacy groups, Sonoma Alliance for Medical Marijuana (SAMM) and Sonoma County Chapter of Americans for Safe Access (ASA) have sponsored this public forum. This year they are joined by newly formed PAC, Citizens for Responsible Access (CRA).
On June 3rd the voters of Sonoma County will decide who will fill the role of District Attorney for the next 4 years. Please vote on June 3!
