Inspiring! Living simple really is simple. Everyone can surely embrace some part of this philosophy, simply not buying water in plastic bottles would be a nice start. Take a good look at the amount of packaging waste in the grocery store and you might consider buying from the bulk bins. Great article.
Erma and Daniel have created so many venues that have been taken from them by people with more money behind them. What pisses me off is that they have NEVER BEEN GIVEN CREDIT for ESTABLISHING these places as good venues for music. Erma and Daniel should be recognized as the people who saw the possibilities and made it happen in these places. No one could have been sure it would work at the Masonic, the Seafood Peddler or the Larkspur Cafe without their insight and hard work.
That said, Sweetwater is amazing, as is Terrapin and I am happy for their success. Could we have some appreciation that their success is because Erma and Daniel made them a viable venue in the first place?
Well said! I like your philosophical description; that's exactly how so many of us feel about Sweetwater. It's great to have this jewel of a venue in Mill Valley again.
