Santa Rosa Mothers Club March Event
Presented by Alice Hampton, Santa Rosa Junior College
This discussion will focus on helping children develop and maintain positive attitudes towards diversity, or tolerance. Alice will start by talking about how children become aware of differences between people, and how certain attitudes they have and mistakes they make can be a normal part of development. She will then discuss ways to maintain children's openness and curiosity about differences, and some resources for exposing children to diversity at various ages.
