Swami Chaitanya has led a colorful life . After an Ivy League education, Swami Chaitanya became one of the original San Francisco hippies as an artist and photographer on Haight Street. His first trip to India was in 1970 to shoot Sunseed for producer Ralph Silver and Director Amartat Cohn. After decades of living in the USA and abroad, primarily India, he was initiated into a Jnana Yoga Shankara Parampara sect in1988. He continues to study and teach, through words and actions, at retreats, festivals and dharma talks. He currently resides at Turtle Creek Ranch and sanctuary in Laytonville, California.
