The Mandala and Its Function Rinpoche covers the general meaning of the beautiful sand paintings in Buddhist thought (Thursday, Jan. 7, 6 to 7:30 p.m.). $5.

Amitayus Empowerment Rinpoche explains the focus of the mandala as it is being created (Saturday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m.). $15.
