Re: “Panties & Cheap Cologne (Not the Ol' Dirty Bastard album)

I suppose if ODB released a solo album it would have had a far less G rated title. Thanks for reading.

Re: “Panties & Cheap Cologne (Not the Ol' Dirty Bastard album)

I'm confused -- what does this have to do with ODB? A guy who didn't put out a record by this name? OHHHHH - I get it! You know nothing of hip-hop culture, so you take a holier than thou approach and insult one of it's pioneers in order to get someone to click through to a really sad excuse of an "article." Got it.

Re: “The Fountaingrove Winery

I finally got to go check this out yesterday. Its one of the coolest ruins I've explored yet. It's neat to see how the graffitis has changed since your 2008 photos, and a lot of the wine barrels are not intact anymore... :( maybe 4 left. I hope to visit again one day. Ive uploaded photos to my Instagram.

I would like Bill to state actions Obama could take. Can he outlaw coal exports?

Re: “13 Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot by Sonoma County Sheriff's Deputies

Thanks to today's society, video games and movies and pure ignorance... people can let their kids run around with replica assault rifles... Even when school and public shootings are becoming a almost more than a annual event. That toy was made to look exactly like a real ak-47. They make replica airsoft guns that even have real accessories on them. Now days everywhere else outside of our peaceful bubble we call America (even occasionally inside of our peacefull bubble) 12 year old boys pick up ak-47's that look exactly like Andy's toy gun and kill people. I have held, handled and operated many ak-47s including airsoft replicas and the only difference is the replicas don't go bang and shoot lethal projectiles. I would like to see all of you who slander the officer involved imagine yourself in simular situations and think what comes to mind... Your family to go home too? Your partners family to go home too? Or sit there and try to figure out when that person is going to raise their weapon and shoot you even after you gave them proper task direction to do so. Good luck with those few seconds of decion making. Unfortunately deadly force is the hardest decision to make no matter how experienced you are. Unfortunately there are plenty of cops who die because they made a different decision and waited 1 second to long and got shot to death... I guess no one or the media cares about those stories. My heart bleeds for Andy's parents and the officer who had to make that decision to shoot an innocent child and deal with that for the rest of his life. Shame on all of you folks and immature kids who live in Disney land slandering these people who protect you from all the real violence and fun things that go on right outside your border. Maybe you should go live in one of the many places where the cops actually just shoot, rape and slaughter people on a daily basis for kicks and thrills because their cartel police boss told them to do so. Back back to playing grand theft auto in your bubble.

Re: “Efren Carrillo Charged with Misdemeanor Peeking, Victim 'Disappointed'

We are denied justice....Only those that they want are under charged...Others have L.E's., whom carry a felony "leaded paddle." L.E's making falsehoods and sending innocent victims to prison have occurred...L.E.'s shooting up a homeowners master bedroom ceiling with a .308 Browning BLR rifle and making felony falsehoods to cover up the incident is the norm....This is Sonoma County....The year 2013 D.A. Jill Ravitch covers up torture, mayhem, and paralysis for life...And now the State Attorney General has appointed a Napa D.A. that is undercharging a sexual crime in under ware from a prowling suspect under the influence....Politics in California has overruled, "justice."

CA PC 647 (i) Who, while loitering, prowling, or wandering upon the private property of another, at any time, peeks in the door or window of any inhabited building or structure, without visible or lawful business with the owner or occupant.

What is the actual code violation for Peeking? Is it PC 647(i) which was the prowling listed on the court calendar?

Re: “13 Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot by Sonoma County Sheriff's Deputies

Why don't you try and do the job? Wait to be fired at first! You are absolutely insane! Do you think cops go to work wanting to discharge their weapons at someone? Absolutely not! Why don't you look at the real problem and that is these companies are allowed to make BB guns, pellet guns, and toy guys look anything similar to a real gun! That's the issue! Get off your soap box and away from the rest of the herd of sheep and look at the fact! Cops don't have to nor should they have to wait to be fired at or attacked before they use the amount of force that is reasonable to maintain control. Yes it is unfortunate that a 13 year old lost his life. If the company that manufactured the BB gun made it look completely different so that anyone even the oblivious could tell it was fake then this wouldn't have happened!

Re: “13 Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot by Sonoma County Sheriff's Deputies

This week Santa Rosa, CA made global news! It was a story about a sick community that needs help. A continuing spectacle of the struggle with children and guns in America. Santa Rosa is now the place where cops mistakenly shoot children carrying fake guns.

I've lived in santa rosa for over a year now and one of the things I've gotten used to is that there are always kids around, often playing in the streets till late at night, most of them Latino. Although, since Thursday it has been strangely quiet, kids haven't ventured far from their apartments into the vacant lots or streets where they usually play, yell, and cause trouble.

It's possible that they are scared because one of their classmates was shot by cops after school this week. Maybe they also saw cops chasing one of their older brothers through the apartment playground last weekend, taking him down with no less than 10 automatic weapons pointed at his head while he was handcuffed on the ground in front of them. I imagine it's a scary time to be a kid in my neighborhood.

Many people are asking where the parents where. I see them everyday, leaving for jobs before sunrise and often coming home after 2 in the morning, working in all of the surrounding labor and service industry jobs. Many parents with multiple low wage jobs have to leave their kids home with older siblings or cousins because they need to work. Unfortunately, this leaves the younger kids out in the streets unsupervised while their older siblings stay inside to play video games, learn about drugs, sex, and gangs.

I understand that there is a real problem here with drugs and gangs and also with extremely aggressive police officers. I also understand the concern with seeing anyone with an AK-47 (real or not) walking down the street. This is a complex problem that needs to be addressed, and I believe it may be beyond the capacity of our community and local government to deal with on our own.

How many children have ever played with bb guns, plastic guns, or home made weapons in the fields around their house? It's something we do in America. It scares me to think that kids will continue to kill at schools. It also scares me that cops will start shooting kids for playing guns, especially as halloween approaches and more of them will be out in the streets with plastic weapons....

Re: “13 Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot by Sonoma County Sheriff's Deputies

This story makes me heart-sick. All of the details will be analyzed by those investigating and the public will only hear about the most obvious and least critical details. There is so much that is not published, not shared and can't be rationalized; few people ever hear the whole story unless it goes to a jury.

The debates over 'toy vs. replica' or 'shoot first ask questions later', ultimately are just factors in the more important issue of the lack of communication.

My prayers are with the Lopez family and all others who are feeling pain at the loss of Andy Lopez. My prayers are with the investigators, that they will look into every factor and truly find where justice lies. My prayers are with the officers that if/when they return to duty it will be with a greater sense of diplomacy and compassion.

Re: “13 Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot by Sonoma County Sheriff's Deputies

More training needs to be applied. This is happening all over the country. The law officers panicked. How many times was the subject shot? Really? True, it was stupid for the kid to have the repl. gun, but to die for it? Shame on the Sonoma Co. sheriff dept.
