Re: “What Happened to Those Guys?

I just finished digitizing a collection of old Electric Toys demos from cassette. My godfather, Tom Boylan was the band's manager and I grew up listening to that tape over and over. It still sounds good even after more than 30 years (the past 20 living in a shoe box in my closet). Let me know if anybody wants to hear it. I've never heard that 45 mentioned in your article, but it sounds awful. The stuff I have sounds more like The Cars.

Re: “Local Lit

Sunday, Sept. 28th, 1:30 pm, Copperfield’s Books, Montgomery Village, 775 Village Court, Santa Rosa
Tues. Sept. 30th, 4-7 pm, Copperfield’s Books, 106 Matheson Street, Healdsburg
Sunday, Oct. 5th 2-5 pm, Barnes and Noble, 700 4th Street, Santa Rosa

I’m also available for an interview. See my contact info below.

The book is about facing hostility and passing through a maze of walls and checkpoints in Israel and the West Bank to lead interfaith activities. They are aimed at easing the region’s bloody path to peace. Many people have expressed interest about my present interfaith activities in Israel and Palestine.

This Fourth Edition includes a new chapter, Chapter 82: “In the Midst of a Riot.” It recounts a recent harrowing experience in Jenin, West Bank, when I was trapped in the midst of rioting Palestinians following the killing of a Palestinian youth by Israeli soldiers.

I'm a tenured professor at the University of Paris and a member of the California and Marseille Bars. My passion, however, is organizing interfaith peace groups in view of helping to bring peace to the Middle East.

The following provides you with a summary and more information about the book:

This is a true story about my arduous journeys between Israel and the West Bank, discussing issues and organizing activities among religious and national groups. Traveling between these areas has been risky: I’ve been harassed and arrested by the Palestinian police, harassed by Israeli soldiers and attacked by West Bank settlers.

“I wrote this book to share with a wide audience my belief in the possibility of peace through grassroots activities in Israel and Palestine, Romano explains. A lot of the Middle East conflict is due to misunderstanding and lack of communication among religious groups, so I want to encourage people to begin organizing in their own communities to help break down those barriers.”

I was interviewed on several major national and local Radio and TV shows, including with:

MICHAEL SAVAGE on Savage Nation-Broadcasted nationwide on AM WTNT 730, June 28th, 2011, at 5:30 PM, PST. To listen to it just click on the link below:

In July, 2007, I spoke at a conference at Cardiff University, England, at a conference entitled “Theory, Faith, Culture” on the following topic: “Confrontation between Fundamentalists and Universalists in the New Age of Religious Freedom”. I then gave a power point presentation about that book and interfaith activities at the Mid-Manhattan Library in New York City on October 13, 2007.

In addition, on January 4th, 2008, Brady Douglas and Jennifer Kielman, News Anchors, of NBC Channel 56 on KETK interviewed me during a 5 O’clock News broadcast, in particular about the situation in the Middle East.

I was later interviewed live about my first book, “Storm Over Morocco”, by FOX NEWS 26 and FOX 4 NEWS, Houston September 4th and Kansas City September 6, 2008 respectively and was a participant during a panel discussion concerning spiritual issues broadcasted live by a Houston Time Warner television station.
