Re: “Bill Ayers

Reading this now, and knowing Raskin since 1975 when he came out of the jungles and wrote a book on B. Travin, I can only say: "phew". And we know the story of how B. Traven's wife was tricked.

Raskin was a subprime player in the sixties. He capitalizes on the sixties by living the lives of his heroes vicariously through writing about them. He is a coffin bedder.

When we, those of us who banded together in the 70's, took over the City of Cotati where Raskin defecated and ate, he did nothing.

From rent control to using Hewlett Packard, from work door to door, Raskin was never there. He never supported the Peace and Freedom Party, which was alive and well in Sonoma County. He never lifted a petition. He never fought for rent control, which we passed despite of him. No, he is a true poser.

He basted in the sun, charming all with his 'radical' past. It didn't last long. Finally he got Hollywood connections to get a job at Sonoma State University where he worked as a 'teacher'????

Since that time, the early eighties really, Jonah was able to grab a coveted position at Sonoma State where he had a Communications department created for him and where he made a bundle. All thanks to his connections with Hollywood.

In 2010, Sonoma State was finally transformed into a hedge fund; Jonah said, did nothing. In 2011, we organized students and they us; the us old timers who graduated from SSU and those who taught there, to fight against privatization and fee increases: Jonah was not there, even though he was drawing a six figure salary, he never went to one meeting.

When the college was privatized and Sandy Weill took over the levers of power, Jonah was not there, but was still drawing a six figure salary.

Wait, he was there! He applauded the CEO of Sonoma State, telling his students that the man brought cake and goodies for students and stating that the CEO job, or president of the college, was a demanding job! All this, while Sonoma State was being undermined, its teachers were being fired, privatization reigned over the housing for students, curriculum fee increases, parking increases, attacks against the faculty union and a privatized orchestra chamber was made for and by Sandy Weill, the crook from CitiGroup. Thanks, Jonah!

Take a look at the video of Jonah working the Prez in his class and ask yourself if he is teaching critical thinking or fawning.

He now draws his pension from the debt ridden college.

And special thanks to former faculty member of SSU, Bob Karlsrud, for his excellent work!

Since 1975 I have not seen one thing that Raskin has done for the working people of this country or for the students he said he represented.

He like to de-mythologize the past while mythologizing himself.

At least David Horowitz came out with Radical Son and intimates he is a fascist; Raskin still poses for any audience he can get as a working class myth.

This is the man who says that he is sorry for not turning in Bernadette Dohrn and Bill Ayers to the FBI.

Come out of the closet, Jonah and claim the privilege you have and the right wing politics you embrace.
