Re: “Art of Survival

I am so proud and amazed over your accomplishments.

It is true, the thought of living additional years in this torture makes me long for death.

I can not bear this torture any more.
I am alone in pure hell with a broken body & broken brain just thrown to the wolves.

Bless you sweetie.
Thank you for raising awareness.

Re: “Art of Survival

Finally, a true story about lyme and what it does to people. I left a prestigious radio career due to Lyme an I was forced to move to Maine where I thougt it more affordable, only to realize they refuse to recognize it. The author is correct... I came here with almost half-a-million dollars...gone in four years. I live in a house with NO water or indoor plumbing and have to travel 13 miles into the woods to get my water...and I have lowered myself to begging the state, the federal government, anyone for help. Nothing. So yes, Final Exit is an option for many of us because I can barely move, nevermind having to fend off bobcat, bears, and coyote, just to get water. All the while fighting neurological and physical pain on a 24/7--365 days of the year. Thank you for being a voice that most is us can no longer be. Blessings. Shantiann

Re: “2017 NorBay Awards

Greetings from New Orleans. I am a guitarist, been playing for 40 years, gigged professionally. In Sonoma, and particularly Marin, for years I kept saying, "but these guys stink." Nobody had any interest performing with me (incestous) or even playing music. I've been in Nola for a few months, played my first paying gig last week. They loved me. But MORE this is French Quarter Fest here in Nola. Comparing New Orleans musicians to Northern CA musicians is like comparing a Ferrari to a Jeep. I just saw Ellis Marsalis.. completely and totally unbelievably great beyond words. Charlmane Neville was a pro.. ain't got no pros in N. CA, except for Jerry Garcia but he's dead. To all you Marin County, and a few in Sonoma, you guys stink.
AND you're stuck up, and you're not nice people.
ps, you DO have much better wine and veggies.. lousy musicians

Re: “Play It Black

Yea these guys are ok. I'm more into Post-Industrial-Emo-Crunk-Step these days. This band is just a little too scary for me. To each his own I guess.

Re: “Clown Around

I was hoping for more of your usual column which is a review of the show. We often choose what we do based on your comments. This is more of a description...darn.
Still love Sondheim and will most likely attend.

Re: “The Heretic

@Jim Corcoran That doesn't seem to be the case at all in the real world where farmers see a reverse in desertification effects and more robust growing.

Re: “The Heretic

My name is Duane Thompson. I have been applying HM principles to our mixed farming SYSTEM in the Parkland region of Saskatchewan for about 15 years. I density graze 1000 cow/calf pairs moving them every 1-4 days on 40-80 acre padocks. Organic Mater levels in this area can commonly be below 2%. We have taken it to 6% on some land that has been in the SYSTEM the longest. We have healthy animals and grow more and more forage every year, more than I ever dreamt posible. I realy have to wonder how much field scale practical experience the critics of the Savory system have. I know I won't be changing anytime soon as our operation is more profitable and supporting more households than ever before.
