These two popular ferments have a lot in common when it comes to making them. Both result from aerobic fermentation, depend on beneficial bacteria, and are said to have probiotic health benefits. Kombucha is made from sweetened tea while vinegar can be produced from any alcoholic beverage, such as homemade beer, wine, or cider. Come watch Clare and Bob initiate a Kombucha and Vinegar fermentation. You will also taste a variety of homemade kombuchas and vinegars and be able to ask questions about the processes. Class size limited to 25 students.
