Re: “Everything but the Anarchists

Thank you for your comment, Mr. Hines; I found out more about what motivates the Oath Keepers from you, than I did from the actual article. Bridging the divide, indeed.

It would be interesting to see some investigative reporting on all the people who voted for Trump, that had previously voted for Obama. They'd be harder to track down as they're not "fringe" and don't hold meetings...I suggest starting with the most enthusiastic Bernie supporters. That's where Mr. Gogola might find his ideological vertex.

Re: “Downstream

Regarding the Feb. 22 State Water Board meeting in Sacramento to decide whether to certify the Elk River TMDL, the minutes for that item read:
I don't suppose that's good for the cause. Great in-depth article on an important local issue.

Re: “Romping Rights

Good grief. Lack of transparency & neutrality & fairness in government, even for dogs! Too bad exposing this had to involve a lawsuit...

Re: “From Company Town to Rebel City

Only got around to reading this only recently, it got lost in my bookmarks. Excellent! I remember the remarkable win despite Chevron millions in 2014, but didn't know the rest of the story. Thanks for this.

Re: “No Way on 'A'

It was surprising that there was no opposing argument on the ballot, and I assumed it was because there were no objections - that this was county business as usual. Thank you for this article, it makes the whole issue a lot clearer: especially that this tax will make it almost impossible for small growers.

Re: “Back Door Men

This is outrageous behaviour from a local police dept supposedly pledged to "serve and protect" their community. "Surveil and harass" is more like it.
With so many in every community being incarcerated for non violent crimes and first time offenses, why have the police increase the sense of injustice with these tactics? Good grief, 3 officers to conduct a parole search when no crime was suspected, no complaint made?
That's not only a waste of tax payers money, but very poor public relations.
