The 90-minute documentary feature tells the story of 200 urban farmers who, on Earth Day 2012, walk onto a publicly owned research farm on the eastern edge of the San Francisco Bay and plant it with two acres of crops in order to save the land from becoming a real-estate development. Now, almost three years later, the film is finally on the screen. “Occupy The Farm”, reveals a new form of activism for the 21st Century. “Empowering food for thought,” says Los Angeles Times film critic Michael Rechtsaffen. Q&A to follow, led by Director Todd Darling.
