Sonoma Arts Live’s Showcase series will feature Lois Flood performing the dances of Isadora Duncan in Andrews Hall. Duncan, dubbed the “Mother of Modern Dance,” was born in Oakland, California. She became world-renowned for her revolutionary dance style, her commitment to social change and women’s emancipation. World-famous sculptor Auguste Rodin called her “perhaps the greatest woman the world has ever known.” She was acknowledged by two major newspapers, the Oakland Tribune and the Washington Post, as one of the most influential people of the 20th century. Donations requested at the door, with net proceeds benefitting Sonoma Arts Live.
